Darrell Scott


Darrell Scott is a Grammy-nominated artist, ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year, and writer of the 2007 Americana Song of the Year – living and working on the fringes of Nashville’s Music Row, Scott stands out as a a refreshingly mischievous artist.  He has had over 75 songs recorded by artists such as Keb Mo, The Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill and Guy Clark for whom Darrell co-produced several albums.  In addition to his own 7 albums, including the new Modern Hymns, Darrell has played on scores of albums, and performed with an amazing variety of artists including Bill Frisell, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, The Nashville Ballet, Joan Baez, Paul Brady, The Nashville Chamber Orchestra and Steve Earle’s Bluegrass Dukes, of which he is an active member.  Darrell owns his own record label Full Light Records, tours 50 dates per year, and resides in Nashville spending time with his family, biking, cooking and recording.
